Cloud Inn located in Central China combines leisure, tourism and holiday resort into a single destination. An investment of 3 billion over 4 years is used to develop a thousand acres of land for cultural tourism consisting of creative literature, folk art, boutique hotel, agriculture education and the scenic countryside.
The biggest difference between sightseeing and vacation is the former pursues visual satisfaction while the latter search for a relaxing experience. The designer read up in depth on the culture and history of the area in order to obtain a perfect definition and expression of “reclusion”. Porcelain from Jingdezhen is used as ornaments together with wooden frames, rattan baskets and flora to create a rustic, causal and yet relaxing space. The design echoes nature, invites the mood of different seasons into the space and creating inner peace and tranquility for the occupants.
